THE STORY
A family of secrets, a watch full of clues
Scenes imagined. Actual watch photographs are in Watch details.
A familiar watch face can become an invitation to investigate a story. Begin with the clues, and see how many you can find.
In its December 2022 announcement, Seiko presented a SPY×FAMILY collaboration sold through PREMICO. Its smoky emerald dial drew on the appearance of a classical large clock, with motifs representing the Forger family at the four principal hour positions. A lattice inspired by Yor’s Thorn Princess dress surrounded the markers. The edition was limited to 2,000, each with a number engraved on the back. Even the original presentation box joined the fiction: it was designed to resemble a book that might belong in a spy’s room. Seiko’s collaboration announcement
That is the pleasure of this design: a familiar object becomes something to investigate. PREMICO’s original product page identifies references to Loid, Yor, Anya and Bond, including the WISE emblem on the seconds hand. Those details reward a second look from someone who knows the story. Imagine, for a moment, a quiet room after everyone has gone out: a closed book, a green pool of lamplight, the sense that ordinary things might conceal a second meaning. This is an imagined scene, not the history of a previous owner.
Begin with that small invitation to look closer. Then turn to the actual watch photographs, where the details of this particular example can speak for themselves.
